The PTA is an important and valued link between home and school and makes a significant social and financial contribution to the school community.

The Executive Committee of the PTA consists of eight parent and three teacher representatives and meets monthly to decide on activities and administer events. The Chairperson of the PTA, always a parent representative, is a member of the Joint Council of PTAs, which comprises all ESF PTA Chairpersons and the respective School Principals and meets termly to give advice and comment regarding the affairs of the Foundation as a whole.

The PTA also nominates two parent representatives to sit on the School Council, which is effectively the Governing Body of The Peak School. The School Council discusses all aspects of school policy and management and it is through its representatives on the School Council that PTA opinion relating to school affairs may be heard. These two parent representatives are also nominated to attend the twice yearly Foundation meeting. In recent years the Chairperson and vice-Chairperson of the PTA have been the two representatives.
