Staff 1979-1980.
Former students William Bunker, Colin Sim, Joanne Wareham, Douglas McAteer and Robin Barnes have all very kindly given us the names of many of the pupils in these photos. Colin Sim has been especially helpful, with a quite phenomenal memory for the names of children who lived at Mansfield Road with him in the 70s and 80s! If you can identify any of the others please let us know and we will be delighted to add them.
Colin Sim was able to tell us that Malcolm Andersen (2nd row from back) was tragically knocked down and killed by a car in Scotland in the mid 80s.
Joanne Wareham and Colin Sim have given us the names of most of the children in Mr Hamlin's class (above), along with some interesting details, such as the fact that Mr Hamlin was the first and only male teacher at Peak School in quite some time. Very sadly, the boy in front of Mr Hamlin, Peter Mitchell, was killed in a car accident in the late 80s.
